Designers On The Rise- Ra Synclair

The New York City-based designer currently works for Jimlar – an umbrella footwear corporation, which includes brands like Calvin Klein, Coach, and Frye. She told me a bit about the difference between designing for clients and designing for her own tastes:

Even on paper high heels are sexier and more fun to me to draw; the lines, the architecture of a high heel are “it!” Although, flats are a challenge in a different way because I think it takes a different eye and sense of creativity to make a flat sexy, or fun, or sophisticated. I’m a high heel girl to the core, however.

Not exactly a fan of Mischa Barton- I am however as a resident of the "Juniverse" so I'll give her a pass on this one and I will refrain from any smart ass comments. I know the paps can be very aggressive and swoop down like vultures and I had absolutely no idea they were so mean to her(Mischa) in the past to the point of her being nervous?? Of course June has the magic touch and made it all better!!!

Not exactly a fan of Olivia Palermo- she comes off as very frigid, frail almost like a witch however, there is much to be said about her style and her choice to pair these AWESOME Avery- Black and Snakeskin combo pumps by L.A.M.B with these jeans and military style coat- I'm a big fan of shoes and an even bigger fan of AWESOME shoes. I give this bitch two thumbs up for the entire ensemble.

Any true fashionista is familiar with the fabulous closet envy worthy June Ambrose. Fashion stylist to the stars I thought it approriate to mention her here on Upscale Kitten. I am happy to report that on March 19th, 2012 VH1 will debut "Styled by June"- I am beyond excited and I will be reporting back to you guys a blow by blow, in the meantime take a look at her unique, elegant and beautiful style.

Big Moves H&M Partners With Marni!

H&M Publicist Nicole Christie wears a full look from the Marni at H&M collection.

H&M continues to roll out its designer collaborations, and the ladies keep on flocking. On Wednesday in New York, the Swedish retailer hosted a swanky, VIP pre-shopping event for its new collab with Marni, an Italian fashion line. Editors, stylists, and celebs came out in droves to get some of the pop prints and chunky accessories, which were immediately ripped off the racks. Check out the dresses, brights and blazers they wore while shopping.
